Industrial-looking bathrooms need not be cold and utilitarian. Typically the style takes ideas from old factories and industrial spaces such as using polished concrete, exposed brickwork, bold metals, weathered surfaces and clean sharp lines. However, you can soften that feeling of being in a workspace, whilst retaining a minimalist design philosophy, by introducing gentle curves and other materials like wood, fabrics, glass and of course colour. Make the space more Scandinavian cosy, ‘hygge’ style, blending various rustic materials with furniture and lighting, or reclaimed and repurposed materials.
